As summer approaches and the weather gets warmer, you may want to exercise outdoors. Here is a great workout I did outside at Trout Lake in Vancouver.
I started with a light jog around the whole lake which is perfect for a warm-up (5-10 minutes).
From my warm-up, I moved straight into the exercises below as demonstrated in the video:
- 20 step ups – 10 on each foot (modification: use a smaller step)
- 10 push ups (modification: do them from your knees)
- 30 skipping rope revolutions (modification: jump side-to-side over a line with no rope)
- 10 rows with resistance band (modification: use lighter resistance band)
(Complete 4-6 rounds)
I finished off with another walk around the lake followed by stretching.
This is a great workout for cardio and strength training. It targets the large muscle groups in your upper and lower body for an excellent full-body workout!
Approximate time to complete: 20-30 minutes including warm-up and cool-down
Equipment used: Skipping Rope, resistance band
